NZF Code of Conduct Message

Dear all,

Over recent weeks we have become increasingly aware of incidents where the conduct of players and coaches towards match officials has fallen well short of what is expected.

In particular there have been instances where players or coaches have made contact with a referee in either an unsporting and aggressive manner.

As we are concerned at what seems to be an increasing trend, we believe it appropriate that all those involved in the game be it a player, a coach, a club official, a match official or indeed a spectator are bound by the NZF Code of Conduct and the regulations of both NZF and FIFA.

It is incumbent on everyone involved in the game to ensure that match officials are not only treated with respect but that there will be zero tolerance for those who make contact with match officials in any way that may be considered to be unsporting or aggressive.
