Junior Football Kicks Off in 2010!

Saturday 24th April saw the first games start for all our Junior teams (5-9th Grades) in their Central 7s leagues at Phyllis Street, Seddon Fields, and more around Central Auckland. The weather was perfect with blue sky and sun, no wind or rain and the fields freshly marked......it really is football season...........finally! We hope all the teams are glad to get underway in what we hope will be an enjoyable season for all. A big thanks must go to all the volunteer coaches and managers who make running so many teams in the club possible, without you guys we just wouldnt get to see all the kids enjoying what truly is a 'beautiful game'. Its been hard work getting all the teams sorted and kitted out ready, but on days like today it makes it truly fullfilling for all the committee members at Metro FC. Remember all the players of the day, there is a club prizegiving at Metro FC Clubrooms from 5pm where you can get your NZ Football P.O.D certificate, a can of soft drink and a pack of crisps.
