World Cup in Auckland - Tuesday 27th April 2010

FIFA World Cup in Auckland, New Zealand

The Fifa World Cup is in Auckland on Tuesday 27th April as part of its Coca-Cola World Tour before it reaches its final destination of South Africa in time for the greatest sporting event in the world - the World Cup. It left Switzerland on the 21st September 2009 and will travel over 138,000 kms whilst visiting 84 countries!

The World Cup will arrive in Auckland from Japan just before 8am, it will then move to the Sky City Convention Centre for an official ceremony at 10.30am with a press conference to follow at 12pm.

This is the first time the trophy is in Auckland and it could be the last! This truly is a great opportunity for New Zealanders to get behind football, the All Whites and the World Cup.

Then all eyes are on South Africa, for the biggest show on earth and the countdown will begin to find who truly are the World Champions! (and for only the 2nd time in history) the All Whites will be gracing the world stage, hoping to do their country proud.
