Early season clashes between two sides within the top four are usually a struggle with each side trying to gain dominance over their opposition
This game started with the pre-match preparation. The Metro side went into the game with two rather impressive victories in the previous two games and were growing with confidence, which showed in their rather relaxed preparation for the game.
Oratia going into the game with their first loss form the week before were obviously eager to avenge that result. They went into the game ready to dominate right from the first whistle.
The game started with the first 20mins being a see-saw battle. Then Metro stepped up a gear and started playing the type of football which had gained them their victories. This style carried them into half time hammering the opposition defense.
Metro started the second half too relaxed putting their defense under sustained pressure. The only goal came from a lapse in Metro’s defense with 20mins remaining. Three fine Metro attacking displays saw the Oratia keeper stretched but to no avail.
 Final result Metro 0 Oratia 1. Come on guys we need to do better than this to obtain promotion and win the league.
