After the disappointment of losing at home the previous week to bottom placed Albany United 1-2,the team bounced back with a good solid performance against Three Kings.
Metro went ahead after 9 minutes when Dylan Beckham drilled a low shot under the goalkeeper. Adrian Peihopa increased our lead five minutes later with a strong right footed shot from the edge of the area . We continued to dominate with out increasing our tally and turned round leading 2-0 at the interval.
In the second half we continued to attack the home goal and finally broke through when Arik Kubicki side -footed home from 8 yards following a good flowing attack down the right.
Ten minutes later we added a fourth goal when substitute Martin Connolly coolly netted after some more good approach work. Three Kings scored a late consolation goal five minutes from time.
Overall it was an accomplished performance and pleasing to return to winning ways after two defeats.
