Grades Overview

Metro FC is a growing club that plays football at all levels. We owe our strength to the many club members who give their time and efforts to help our players play their best football.

What teams does Metro FC have?

We have grown considerably in our football this year. We offer a range of teams at various levels for players aged from  5 to 65. We now have over forty junior teams, over eight youth teams and several senior teams.

Our club volunteers are important

Football at Phyllis Street hasn't looked this strong for a long time. We are lucky to have such a large number of dedicated volunteers who make the club so successful. From the managers and coaches to those in the background, everyone is as important as the other. We are always on the lookout for active and committed volunteers for a range of tasks from joining the committee to just odd jobs throughout the season. We also need sponsors of all ranges, if your interested in volunteering or sponsoring please contact us on metrofcinfo@gmail.com

Whole of Football Plan at Metro FC

Our Whole of Football Plan programme has grown year after year. You can find out more about it on our Junior Grades page.

Junior and Youth players

The Friday Night U5-U8 Grade football is extremely popular and these numbers continue through to 8th Grade. Our 9th and 10th Grade numbers are also strong.

A high proportion of our 11-16 year olds go to Mt Albert Grammar School, St Peters College and Marist College. Both these schools run football programmes and many of our highly talented players have joined them, which means we end up with one or two Youth sides per grade. We are working to rectify this in the coming years.

Senior Players

We offer men's and women's teams across different divisions. Some teams are social and some are competitive. Follow the fortunes of our  Women's top team who are pushing for promotion from the NRF Womens Conference to the NRFL Championship and our Men's top team as they battle for promotion to the NRFL Division Championshipthis season.

We wish all our teams the best of luck for their seasons ahead, and no matter the results come September, we hope you have an enjoyable year!

When does the season run?

The seasons for the majority of teams run from the weekend of the 27th April until the first weekend in September 2024

Code of Conduct

Metro FC believe fully and uphold the values of the FIFA Code of Conduct and the NZ Football Code of Conduct.
